Free congress ticket and lots of networking at the Tonmeistertagung?
In November, the VDT once again invites to the big industry event, the 32nd Tonmeistertagung (tmt32), in Dusseldorf. Such a big event needs many people to make it a success. That is why we are looking for helping hands who would like to join our team of volunteers and support us in running tmt32.
There are two different tasks to be covered: checking the tickets and running the sound and multimedia systems.
The ticket crew: ticket checks at the main entrance and in front of the halls
The ticket crew does a responsible job. To be able to do it, reliability and openness are required above all. Besides English, some basic skills in German or another language are advantageous, but not necessary. We need a large team of close to 40 people.
Those who work in the admission crew will receive, among other things, a four-day Full Program ticket as a thank you, which, by the way, is also valid as a local transport ticket in almost all of NRW. On the days on which you work, you also receive a meal voucher for the trade show catering. Free drinks are available in an extra room for all helpers.
What else will I get out of working in the admissions crew? It is the ideal starting point to begin your own networking!
Interested? Then register in MyVDT and then fill out our crew form by going to the menu item "Surveys". You are a VDT member or have already been an author or co-author at a VDT event? Then simply log in to MyVDT and go to the menu item "Surveys".
The technical crew: Technical support for sound, projection and lighting
The technical crew does real skilled work and each person takes individual responsibility. You are usually qualified to do this if you are already studying or been in training for a while, if you have done a job or two in the industry, or if you have worked on projects. We train detailed knowledge to the crew, but everyone should have personal responsibility and commitment. Some basic foreign language skills, especially in English, are advantageous but not necessary.
Those who work in the technical crew will, of course, first of all receive a four-day Full Program ticket, which, by the way, is also valid in printed form as a local transport ticket in almost the whole of NRW. Food vouchers for the trade fair catering and free drinks are available for all helpers. If necessary, we will arrange accommodation in Düsseldorf. The members of the technical crew get a membership to the VDT free of charge for two years. In addition, there is a small expense allowance for this work.
What else do I get out of working in the technical crew? The most important thing is personal networking; after all, you serve the luminaries of the industry in the halls and can talk to them on a very low-threshold professional level. But there are several other advantages.
